Course Registration Form

Dear Friends in Christ,

Peace be with you! In collaboration with the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, we are pleased to invite you to our annual Archdiocesan Catechists’ Retreat. Come away as a community to rest and spend time with Jesus and one another this May, as we take a break from our catechetical commitments.

Our theme for this year’s retreat will be: -

(Acts 1: 8)

Date:  18 May (Sat) to 20 May* (Mon) 2019
          – Includes Sunday Mass; *Public holiday
Time:   9.30 am to 4.30 pm
            (Registration starts at 9.00 am)
Venue: Church of St. Ignatius – Annexe Hall, 2nd floor
          120 King’s Road, Singapore 268172

To be a sharer of God’s Word and to bring Jesus to others, especially to share the faith with those we catechise, one cannot be a mere teacher but also a faithful witness. Leading others to Jesus through Mary requires the person of the catechist to be a true witness to Jesus; and credible witnessing demands of us to have an authentic God experience in one’s life.

In this retreat, Br. Dominic Yeo Koh, FSG will guide us to look at how one can be a genuine Christian witness and thus able to effectively hand on the faith beyond mere teaching but teaching with authority, as Christ did.

Contribution for Participants: $60

Your submitted registration form is considered as confirmation of your attendance, along with payment of retreat fee. This is in view that booking of venues, sourcing of materials and arrangement of meals and refreshments will be made based on submitted registration forms. In the event of foreseeable no-shows, please inform the office at least 5 days in advance of the retreat, by 13 May 2019, to help prevent wastage of resources. Failure to do so will result in the registrant having to bear the full cost of the retreat.

Who should attend?

Coordinators, catechists, assistant catechists, facilitators, sponsors, helpers, administrators and any others supporting the catechetical team from the following catechetical ministries: -

  • Children’s catechesis
  • Youth catechesis
  • Special Needs catechesis
  • Home-based catechesis
  • Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
  • RCIA
  • RCIA for Youth/RCIA for Children
  • Liturgy of the Word with Children

We highly encourage parish catechetical ministries to attend as a community so as to foster communion within the team through a shared spiritual experience.
