SPEAKER / TRAINER

ABOUT THE PANELISTS

Joshua Augustine Lim has been a catechist in the Church of our Lady Star of the Sea (OLSS) since 2013. Serving mainly as a Youth Catechist, he has journeyed with three L9 batches from 2017-2019 and is currently an L10 catechist. He was initially involved in his parish’s youth confirmation retreat as a facilitator, before taking on planning and coordination roles in subsequent years.  Joshua’s desire is to see young people have a genuine encounter with Christ, recognising their true worth as children of God, having a deep personal relationship with the Risen Lord as the One they can turn to no matter what.

Bosco Lai has been a Youth Coordinator at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea for more than 4 years, coordinating and planning confirmation retreats and youth formation programs, journeying with young people to become disciples of Christ. His experience in Youth ministry began in 2007 through active involvement in campus ministry, reaching out to university students and young professionals. Bosco finds great passion in reaching out to youths who are at a crucial stage of discovering their Christian identity and making sense of the world around them in the midst of secular voices; he firmly believes this makes youth ministry all the more vital today.

Leroy Rafael Goh has been actively involved in the Singapore youth ministry scene since he joined the youth community at Church of St. Joseph (Bt. Timah) in 2007, eventually becoming a leader there for many years. He has been involved in every aspect of youth confirmation retreats, from facilitating and giving sessions to logistical aspects, planning and coordination of programmes; in his own parish and many others in the archdiocese. He has also represented Singapore in international meetings for youth leaders of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.  Leroy is currently a Youth Minister with the Redemptorist Mission Team.
